TUMWATER — Police have shot and wounded a knife-wielding man at a Tumwater Jack in the Box.
The Tumwater County sheriff’s office told KOMO-TV police and sheriff’s deputies arrived at the restaurant around 4:30 p.m. after getting calls about a man with a knife.
Lt. Cliff Ziesemer says there was some kind of altercation between the man and officers, which led to a Tumwater police officer shooting him.
The man Ziesemer described as elderly has been transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. No one else was injured.
