Six of the seven Everett City Council members have endorsed Mayor Frank Anderson in his re-election bid.
In an ad in today’s Herald, the six accuse challenger Ray Stephanson of using his campaign mailings to spread misinformation about the city budget.
The six council members endorsing Anderson are Doug Campbell, Ron Gipson, Arlan Hatloe, Marian Krell, Mark Olson and Dale Pope.
Stephanson’s sole supporter on the council is Bob Overstreet.
The Snohomish County Labor Council, AFL/CIO, voted Wednesday to call for the resignation of the Marysville School Board and its superintendent.
The district recently was involved in the state’s longest teachers strike.
The labor council is endorsing three challengers seeking the three open positions on the school board. The labor council is a federation of 65 unions representing more than 42,000 workers.
