Camano: Democrats offer program on Islam
Mohammad Fani, the interfaith committee chairman at the Islamic Educational Center of Seattle, a board member at the Camp Brotherhood north of Arlington and a member of Northwest Interfaith Community Outreach, is to be the featured speaker at a meeting of the Camano Island Democrats, 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Camano Center, 141 E. Camano Drive.
After the presentation on the Islamic religion, a question-and-discussion period is scheduled. The public is welcome to attend.
Arlington: Chance to meet candidate
Incumbent City Councilman Scott Solla plans a re-election campaign event from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the new Rocket Grill bowling alley, 420 N Olympic Ave., in Arlington. Soft drinks and appetizers will be served.
