Hans Dunshee to hold town hall meeting
LAKE STEVENS — State Rep. Hans Dunshee, D-Snohomish, will hold two town hall meetings this Saturday to hear residents’ questions, concerns and ideas about state government.
From 10 a.m. to noon he will be in Room A of the Lake Stevens School District Administration Building. The campus is at 12309 22nd St. NE in Lake Stevens.
Then, from 1 to 3 p.m., Dunshee will be at the Southeast Family YMCA at 13723 Puget Park Drive in Everett.
Both meetings are free and open to the public.
If you can’t attend, Dunshee plans to conduct a telephone town hall at 6 p.m. Sept. 10.

Edmonds: Republican to launch campaign
Republican candidate Elizabeth Scott of Edmonds will formally launch her campaign for state representative Aug. 24 at the Edmonds Yacht Club.
Scott is challenging Rep. Marko Liias, D-Mukilteo in the 21st Legislative District that encompasses Mukilteo, Lynnwood and Edmonds.
Scott, 43, is a former educator making her first run for elected office.
Monday’s event will feature Mike Siegel, a radio talkshow host, and Irene Endicott of the Evergreen Freedom Foundation who was a Republican candidate for state office in the 44th Legislative District in 2000.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the yacht club at 456 Admiral Way in Edmonds.
