Candidate forum for county attorney
EVERETT — Jim Kenny and Mark Roe, the two candidates running for Snohomish County prosecuting attorney, are planning to answer questions at a forum Thursday.
Kenny and Roe will face off in November for the general election. In the primary election, Roe earned two-thirds of the votes to Kenny’s one-third.
Roe was appointed by the County Council late last year after Janice Ellis stepped down to take a job with the Tulalip Tribes. Kenny is an assistant prosecutor with the city of Seattle.
Both candidates are Democrats.
There will be a meet and greet session from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. The forum is scheduled to follow. There also will be time to socialize with the candidates from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m.
The event will be held at the Monte Cristo ballroom, 1507 Wall St., Everett. The forum is sponsored by the Snohomish County Bar Association and the Snohomish County Chapter of Washington Women Lawyers.
