SEATTLE — U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., among the leading Democratic candidates for president, will be the featured speaker Monday at a fundraiser for the state party in Seattle.
Clinton will appear at 7 p.m. at the party’s Warren G. Magnuson Awards at Benaroya Hall at 200 University St.
Most national polls show Clinton leading the race for the Democratic nomination for president in 2008. The next top challengers are U.S. Sen. Barack Obama and former Sen. John Edwards.
At Monday’s event, the Washington State Democratic Party will celebrate its top party activists, elected officials and rising stars.
Tickets are listed at $100 a person up to $10,000 to sponsor a table and gain attendance at a private reception with Clinton. Funds raised are all for the state party. For ticket information, call 206-583-0664.
