EVERETT – Everett AquaSox manager Terry Pollreisz missed Thursday’s game and will likely miss a few more following the death of his father early Thursday.
Pollreisz’s father was visiting from his home in Oregon and staying at his son’s Everett apartment, where he suffered an apparent heart attack late Wednesday after the first game of the current eight-game home stand.
The AquaSox returned Tuesday from a five-game trip to Portland, where Pollreisz’s father attended several games.
Coaches Marcos Garcia and Darrin Garner managed the team Thursday. Coach Andy Bottin, who missed Wednesday’s game, is in Peoria, Ariz., helping coach catchers assigned to the Seattle Mariners’ Arizona League squad.
