PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland firefighters pulled a man, clinging to the Morrison Bridge, from the Willamette River on Sunday morning.
The Oregonian reports firefighters in trucks and boats responded about 2 a.m. after receiving a report of a man in the water. The Portland Fire Bureau say two men on a small boat pulled him out of the water and got him to a rescue boat.
Fire officials say the man, who is in his 20s, was taken to a hospital as a precaution but he did not appear to be injured. It’s unclear how he ended up in the water.
