Portland woman’s body found at wind surfing site
STEVENSON, Wash. — The Skamania County sheriff’s office says the body of a Portland woman was found at the launch point for a popular wind surfing site on the Columbia River known as Swell City.
Undersheriff Dave Cox says the body of 38-year-old Jennifer Gouvea was found by an officer Saturday afternoon next to her vehicle at the site off Highway 14 east of Stevenson. She was not wind surfing when she died.
Cox says the death is under investigation but there’s no indication of a crime.
