UPDATE 4/5/2019, 8:55 a.m.: Arlington police say they have determined that the remains are not human.
ARLINGTON — Police in Arlington were investigating possible human remains found Thursday in a wooded area near the Gleneagle neighborhood.
Officers were alerted to the discovery in the early afternoon.
The Washington State Patrol was called in to assist with the investigation.
It appeared there was no immediate threat to public safety, police said. No other details about the circumstances were released.
