More than 10,000 customers in the Stanwood-Camano Island area woke up without power this morning. Snohomish County PUD workers are on site and working to restore the power.
The PUD has a main line out that feeds three substations serving all of Camano and Stanwood. As of 7 a.m. 12,000 customers were without power. The latest report pared that number down to 11,000.
“The good news is that because it’s a main line, and not a result of downed trees throughout the area,” PUD Spokesman Mike Thorne said. “Once the problem is fixed we will come back on line in a relatively short time.”
