LOS ANGELES — Officials say two passengers have been removed from a New York-bound United flight in Los Angeles that was searched after one of them leapt up and headed for the bathroom just before takeoff.
Los Angeles International Airport spokesman Marshall Lowe said the incident occurred today.
Passenger Charlie Rosene told NBC 4 the man refused to comply with an attendant’s request to stay seated.
The pilot returned the plane to the gate where the man and his companion were taken off the flight for questioning, and the plane was searched.
No other details were immediately available.
