OLYMPIA — An elementary school principal has been placed on administrative leave after an inquest jury accused him of being responsible for his wife’s death in 1998.
Toledo School District Superintendent Sharon Bower said Friday that officials are working to find an interim principal to replace Ron Reynolds. She says the main focus is to ensure that Toledo Elementary School is a positive learning environment for children.
Jurors this week concluded that Ronda Reynolds died of homicide, not suicide as initially believed. The jury determined that Ron Reynolds and his son, Jonathan, were responsible for the death.
Neither has been criminally charged or arrested. A coroner leading the inquest has said it will reconvene next week.
