SEATTLE — A federal grand jury has indicted a 43-year-old SeaTac man on charges that he distributed images of child rape through Twitter.
Federal prosecutors say Danny Zimmerman was arrested on state charges in June and indicted on federal charges on Friday. Zimmerman is scheduled to be arraigned in federal court in Seattle on Friday afternoon.
Prosecutors say that Twitter made multiple reports between September 2014 and February 2015 to the National Center for Missing &Exploited Children about images of child rape being uploaded to the Internet.
Officials said an investigation led them to an Internet address used by Zimmerman.
