EVERETT – Police arrested seven men – including a 91-year-old – during a four-hour prostitution sting Friday.
The men were either booked into the Snohomish County Jail or cited with patronizing a prostitute or prostitution loitering, Everett police spokesman Boyd Bryant said Monday.
The sting was conducted by the Everett Police Department’s vice unit, with the assistance of patrol officers.
Motorcyclist injured in U.S. 2 crash
A motorcyclist who police suspect was racing another driver was seriously injured Sunday night when he slammed into a pickup on U.S. 2.
Dan Duran, 43, of Everett was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was in serious condition in intensive care Monday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The pickup landed on its side, but driver, Myron J. Moser Jr., 37, of Snohomish, was not hurt, according to the State Patrol.
Duran and another motorcyclist, 40, of Everett were headed west on U.S. 2 before the crash, state Trooper Lance Ramsay said. Witnesses reported the two were “going extremely fast and trying to keep up with each other,” Ramsay said.
The other motorcyclist was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, he said. The injured motorcyclist is under investigation for the same crime.
Stanwood man arrested in stabbing incident
A Stanwood man was arrested late Sunday on suspicion of stabbing another man in the chest, police said Monday.
The man, 29, allegedly attacked the victim during an argument about a woman, Everett Police Sgt. Boyd Bryant said. The assault happened April 23 at a home in the 3700 block of 25th Street.
The victim, 24, was hospitalized, but went home late last week, Bryant said.
