Arlington City Council regular meeting, 7 tonight, City Council chambers, 110 E. Third St. The agenda includes work on the 188th Street trail and paving projects. The council also plans to vote to amend employment contracts for heads of city departments to establish unpaid furlough days.

Everett City Council, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, City Council chambers, 3002 Wetmore Ave. The agenda includes a proposed contract with Advanced Traffic Solutions of Scottsdale, Ariz., to install red light and speed cameras at several places in the city.

Island County Commissioners regular meeting, 10 a.m. today, Hearing Room 102B, Island County Annex Building, 1 NE Sixth St., Coupeville.

Arlington Planning Commission, 7 p.m. Tuesday, council chambers, 110 E. Third St. Commissioners plan to talk about changes to design guidelines.
