SEATTLE — Former Washington governor and current U.S. ambassador to China Gary Locke offered a eulogy Monday at memorial services at St. James Cathedral in Seattle for former Washington Gov. Albert Rosellini.
Rosellini was governor for eight years ending in 1965. He died Oct. 10 at the age of 101.
Those who spoke highlighted his love of the community he served.
Locke remembered Rosellini’s love of anything associated with the University of Washington, especially the football team.
Democratic leaders including Locke say Rosellini was a mentor to them.
