WOODINVILLE — Snohomish County sheriff’s officials are seeking the public’s help to locate a man missing since Feb. 28.
Kenneth Allen Leopold, 39, was last seen walking away from a friend’s home in the 22700 block of 133rd Avenue SE, heading through the woods along a path to the home he shares with his mother, sheriff’s Lt. Kevin Prentiss said Wednesday. He has not been seen or heard from since.
Leopold and his son routinely talked by phone each day. His son left March 3 for a basic training camp, and Leopold did not call him to say goodbye, Prentiss said.
Detectives also learned that Leopold has not filed for unemployment, his sole source of income, for the past two weeks.
He is white, 6 feet 2 inches, 190 pounds, with short, brown hair, brown eyes and a mustache. He has several tattoos, including a rose on his right chest area and a skull with a snake on his upper arm. He smokes Camel cigarettes.
When last seen, he was wearing brown work boots, black Levis, a black T-shirt, a belt with a Leatherman tool on it, a watch and a chained wallet with several hundred dollars in it.
Snohomish County Search and Rescue conducted a search of the trail area but was unable to find him. Investigators ask anyone who knows Leopold’s whereabouts to call 911.
