EVERETT — Snohomish County PUD Commissioners agreed Tuesday to pay a Snohomish County man $150,000 to drop a personal injury lawsuit against the public utility.*
The case was set to go to trial on May 5, but both sides first reached an agreement in mediation.
The lawsuit stems from an April 2005 accident. According to the lawsuit, a PUD employee was on the job driving a PUD vehicle in a “negligent and careless” manner when he collided with a car driven by Carey Hall.
PUD’s contract attorney, Christopher Knapp, denied the PUD employee was negligent.
In his lawsuit, handled by Everett’s Miller Kadish Law Firm, Hall sought compensation for medical and legal expenses, wage loss, general damages for pain and suffering, and other expenses related to his injuries.
