SEATTLE — Forecasters say the pattern of morning fog and sunny afternoons will likely end Wednesday as rain moves into Washington on Thursday.
The National Weather Service expects 1 to 3 inches of rain in the Olympics and Cascades by Friday. The snow level will range between 4,500 and 6,000 feet, so there shouldn’t be much snow on the highway passes.
More snow may fall on eastern Washington mountains but the precipitation should be mostly rain in the valleys.
Forecasters expect showers through the weekend statewide.
