LAKE STEVENS – The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office will hold a community meeting Thursday about a Level 3 registered sex offender who will be released from prison June 21.
Jeffrey D. Henderson, 42, will be living in the 11900 block of Purple Pennant Road in Lake Stevens.
Henderson was convicted of several counts of first-degree rape, according to the sheriff’s office.
In 1985, Henderson ran up behind a 22-year-old woman who was jogging in Lake Stevens, pointed a gun at her and raped her, the sheriff’s office reported.
Earlier that year, he attacked and sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl who was walking to school. He also grabbed a 12-year-old girl while she was out walking, the sheriff’s office reported. In 1984, he sexually assaulted a 22-year-old woman.
In most cases, he wore a ski mask, threatened his victims and bound them with duct tape. The attacks all occurred in the early morning when the victims were alone.
Henderson is considered to have a high risk of reoffending, according to the sheriff’s office. He is white, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 137 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has a 1-inch scar on his right hand and a 1-inch scar on his stomach.
