Renton man dies after falling from Little Si trail

NORTH BEND — Officials say a Renton man has died while hiking on Little Si.

The King County Sheriff’s Office says the 63-year-old man called 911 around 8 p.m. Monday saying he had fallen off a trail and was injured. Dispatchers sent a rescue team who found the man about two miles up the mountain and off the trail about 300 feet in steep terrain.

The man was reportedly unconscious when searchers got to him.

Efforts to resuscitate the man failed.

His name has not been released.
