A working group tasked with saving Snohomish County government and taxpayers time and money on land-use decisions has released a preliminary report to the public.
The Snohomish County Council authorized the Land Use Working Group in a 2009 budget note. The council and County Executive Aaron Reardon jointly appointed the volunteers.
The group has met 14 times during the past year. Before it sends the draft to Reardon and the County Council on June 30, the group is seeking public comments.
The report is available by going to www.snoco.org, searching for “land use decision making” and then clicking on “draft report.” Comments can be submitted at the website or by e-mailing kay.wheeler@snoco.org.
