Four Washington companies — including Republic Services, the company that handles garbage service for much of Snohomish County — were given 2016 Corporations for Communities Awards from the Secretary of State. The award honors exceptional Washington businesses that make it a priority to help their communities.
The Bellevue-based company was nominated for the work of its employees, whose efforts included support of the Monroe High School memorial to honor former students who lost their lives in military service.
