Good news: Duke is happy and healthy!
I wrote about Duke, a 1,000-pound Tennessee walker, after he nearly died in a mud hole in Cathcart in September.
Neighbors, horse pros and firefighters all banded together to save him.
His current boarder, Shari Crichton, wrote me last week to let me know that Duke is in fine shape.
His family’s care has “brought him back to a strong and healthy horse,” she wrote.
She also shared this picture of Duke with his owner, Joelle Brender, 13, of Snohomish.
