OSO — Snohomish County Search and Rescue crews on Thursday helped a pair of loggers whose truck got stuck on Wheeler Mountain about 15 miles south and east of Oso.
A woman called 911 just before midnight Wednesday to report that her husband likely went into the remote area off the Mountain Loop Highway to check on a crew working a logging site, Snohomish County sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Brand said.
Search and rescue volunteers set out about 7 a.m. on snowmobiles to look for the men, Brand said.
They found the men late in the morning and were helping free the truck. It’s unclear if either of the men was injured.
