TULALIP — A man’s body was pulled out of a small lake Tuesday night on the Tulalip Reservation.
Around 6:30 p.m., the man was reported missing in the water at the Port Susan Camping Club along Marine Drive.
He had been on a 12- to 14-foot aluminum boat before witnesses saw him struggling in the water, said Rebecca Hover, a spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The man was later found dead about 20 yards from the dock, Hover said. It’s not yet clear how he ended up in the water. He didn’t appear to be wearing a life jacket.
The man is believed to be in his mid-50s and from Snohomish County, Hover said. His identity was not released Tuesday.
The camping club is a private, gated area with a shallow lake.
Additional details were not available late Tuesday night.
