PORT ORCHARD — A Gig Harbor man who worked as a volunteer reserve officer for the Bremerton Police Department has pleaded guilty to sending illicit text messages to a 15-year-old girl.
Kenneth F. Price was sentenced to 30 days of home arrest after his plea to one count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes, a gross misdemeanor.
Price, 37, was immediately terminated from his volunteer duties as a Bremerton reserve officer.
The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office said Price exchanged messages with the girl, some of which were sexual in nature, from late December to early February 2008.
Price was sentenced on May 29. He will begin his house arrest sentence this month.
