EVERETT — An informational meeting and open house on Everett’s long-term planning process is scheduled for Oct. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Weyerhaeuser Room at Everett Station.
“Metro Everett” is a plan to accommodate expected long-term growth in the downtown and Everett Station areas of the city.
The draft plan includes proposals to attract more market-rate housing to the area, to create a public plaza commemorating the Everett Massacre, light rail station plans (if Sound Transit 3 is approved this fall) and the improvements to accommodate more pedestrians and traffic associated with growth.
More information, including the draft plan, can be found at www.everettwa.gov/metro. Current project documents are available at www.everettwa.gov/metrodocuments.
