Road report

How to read your road report: Road restrictions may be near but not necessarily in the cities under which they are listed. Most restrictions are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Any lane on the road could be closed between the two cross streets found in most listings.

* Through Friday, in the area from Everett to Lynnwood on southbound I-5, the two right southbound lanes and the carpool lane will be closed 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving work.

* The 41st Street overpass is closed through Nov. 30 for construction, creating the need for occasional I-5 closures northbound and southbound under this overpass.

* Through Friday, up to two lanes of I-5 northbound and two lanes of I-5 southbound may be closed nightly between the 41st Street bridge-Broadway exit and Marine View Drive. The northbound closures begin at 10 p.m. and reopen by 6 a.m. The southbound lane closures begin at 7 p.m. and reopen by 4 a.m.

* Through Friday, up to three lanes of I-5 northbound may be closed nightly between Highway 526 and Broadway, exit 192. Northbound closures begin at 10 p.m. and open by 6 a.m.

* The westbound U.S. 2 ramp to southbound I-5 may be closed from 11 p.m. today through 4 a.m. through Friday.

* Through Friday, the northbound I-5 ramp to eastbound U.S. 2 may be closed nightly from midnight to 5 a.m. for construction. Drivers should watch for detour signs and if needed stay on northbound I-5, exit at Marine View Drive, take a left under the freeway and left onto the onramp to get back on southbound 1-5 to take the eastbound U.S. 2 exit.

* Snohomish County Public Works crews will be refurbishing more than 70 miles of county roads this summer with a new layer of gravel and asphalt. The “chip sealing” process extends the life of the road. Work is ongoing in north county locations around Stanwood, Darrington, Oso, Bryant, Lake Howard, Arlington, Marysville and Tulalip. South county work begins Aug. 7 in areas around Lake Stevens, Snohomish, Home Acres Road, Monroe, Gold Bar and Maltby.

Bothell

* 228th Street SE between the Bothell city limits and 45th Avenue SE and on 45th Avenue SE between 228th and 224th streets SE. Lane closures through Aug. 11. Sewer and storm water manhole repairs.

Everett

* Sixth Avenue W. between 112th Street SW and 108th Street SW, south Everett. Lane closure through Aug. 18. Utilities and frontage improvements.

Granite Falls

* 84th Street NE between 158th Drive NE and 147th Avenue NE, west of Granite Falls. Lane closure through Friday. Paving, storm system, frontage improvements.

Lake Stevens

* Sunnyside Boulevard from Ninth Street north one mile. Road closed Tuesday through Aug. 31 for sewer line installation. Detour posted.

Lakewood

* Forty Five Road, between 11th Avenue NE and 172nd Street NE. Road closure extended through July 31. Installation of water transmission main for city of Marysville. Detour posted.

Lynnwood

* Wigen Road, between 132nd Street SW and Lincoln Way, north of Lake Serene. Lane closure through Aug. 18. Utilities and frontage improvements.

* 56th Avenue W., south of 148th Street SW, east of Norma Beach. Lane closure through Aug. 9. Gas valve work.

* 150th Street SW, between 18th Avenue W. and Madison Way, north Lynnwood. Lane closure through Aug. 30. Water, sewer, frontage improvements.

* Manor Way and Admiralty Way, north Lynnwood. Alternating lane closures extended through Friday. Utilities and frontage improvements.

Maltby

* Highway 522 and Fales Road-Echo Lake Road, south of Monroe. Through Friday, lanes may be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. to pave and remove temporary bridge supports, along with work on traffic signals at the Fales-Echo Lake Road intersection.

Monroe

* Block of 1300 W. Main Street. Lane closure through Wednesday. Curb, gutter and sidewalk installation.

* 176th Avenue SE between W. Main Street and 161st Street. Road closed until 5 p.m. today for paving.

Smokey Point

* The right lane of the eastbound and westbound onramps from Highway 531 (172nd Street NE) to southbound I-5 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday for electrical work.

Stanwood

* One lane will be closed on the northbound I-5 exit to Highway 532 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday for installation of a barrier. It may be closed again from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday.

Arlington

* Arlington Heights Road between Jordan Road and 107th Avenue NE. Lane closure extended through Aug. 4. Road repair.

* Finn Settlement Road, 31200 block. Lane closed 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. through July 31. Road restoration, gas line installation.

* Tveit Road in the 9400 block, 200th Street NE in the 9700 block and Burns Road in the 18200 block. Lane closures 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. through July 31. Gas line installation.

Brier

* Southeast of Brier, lane closures at the intersections of Locust Way and 237th Place SW, Castle Way and 23rd Avenue W., Lockwood and Carter roads, and Carter Road and 228th Street SW. Fiber-optic cable installation extended through Sept. 29.

Darrington

* Sauk Prairie Road at Mouse Creek Bridge No. 631, between Crawford Loop Road and Highway 530. Closed through Aug. 11 for reconstruction, but single-lane temporary bridge allows for emergency vehicles and other traffic.

* Highway 530 in the Skaglund Hill area west of Darrington. Speed limit in the area is 20 mph, with some delays during repair work.

Edmonds

* Shoulder closures in the Wenzel Vista, Parkside Lane, Woodside Glen and Westwood Hills plats east of Norma Beach through Tuesday. Cable replacement.

Everett

* Pacific Avenue and Broadway intersection work continues. The project includes installation of a new traffic signal, widening of two right-turn lanes and new curbs and sidewalks. Weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through September. A slight widening of right-turn lanes will be made on eastbound Pacific to Broadway and northbound Broadway to Pacific. Temporary sidewalks will be used as necessary.

* Possibly continuing today, traffic on 112th Street SE between Third and Seventh avenues SE in southeast Everett will be rerouted for the installation of a box culvert crossing for North Creek. The culvert is need to support a new five-lane street.

* 124th Street SE between 32nd Avenue SE and 35th Avenue SE south of Everett. Lane closure through Aug. 4. Utilities and frontage improvements.

* Intersection of 31st Avenue SE and 95th Street SE. Lane closed through Friday. Utilities and frontage work.

Granite Falls

* Getchell Road at Little Pilchuck Bridge No. 453, southwest of Granite Falls. Road closed July 26 through August. Bridge replacement. Detour along 147th Avenue NE, Goebel Hill Road and 163rd Avenue NE. Trucks will use Highway 92.

* Little Pilchuck Creek Bridge No. 601, west of 147th Avenue NE on 66th Street NE, southwest of Granite Falls. Bridge replacement work through August. Emergency vehicles and pedestrians will have access at all times.

Lake Stevens

* 20th Street SE between S. Lake Stevens Road and 115th Avenue SE and on 115th Avenue SE just south of 20th Street SE. Lane closures extended through Sept. 1. Utilities and paving.

* 20th Street SE between 79th Avenue SE and 83rd Avenue SE. Lane closed through July 31. Sewer, water, frontage work.

* 99th Avenue NE between Chapel Hill Road and Fourth Street NE; 101st Avenue NE north of Chapel Hill Road; Chapel Hill Road between 101st Avenue NE and N. Davies Road. Lane closures extended through July 31. Utilities and frontage work.

* Second Street SE between Rhodora Heights Road and 119th Drive SE. Intermittent lane closures through Aug. 15. Utilities and frontage improvements.

* Russell Road between 28th Street NE and the Pilchuck River bridge. Intermittent single-lane closures through Oct. 6.

* 18th Street SE east of its intersection with S. Lake Stevens Road. Lane closed through Friday. Water line and frontage improvements.

Lynnwood

* Shelby Road between Serene Way and 42nd Avenue W., and on 42nd Avenue W. between Shelby Road and 146th Place SW. Lane closures through Aug. 25. Utilities installation, frontage improvements.

* Intersection of 201st Place SW and 24th Avenue W. Lane closed through Friday. Utilities, frontage improvements.

Marysville

* 88th Street NE, between 55th Avenue NE and 57th Drive NE. Full road closure through Friday to replace culvert.

* Soper Hill Road north of 79th Avenue NE and on 79th Avenue NE, east of Soper Hill Road. Lane closures through Aug. 25. Utilities installation, frontage improvements.

* Sunnyside Boulevard between 33rd Place NE and 36th Street NE. Lane closure through Friday. Sewer line extension and frontage improvements.

* 67th Avenue NE between 108th Street NE and 132nd Street NE. Lane closed until Friday. Relocating power poles.

* 79th Avenue NE between Soper Hill Road and 44th Street NE. Lane closure extended through Friday. Utilities and frontage improvements.

Mill Creek

* East of Mill Creek, numerous lane and shoulder closures on or near Seattle Hill Road, Puget Park Drive, Silver Firs Drive, Cathcart Way, Cascade Drive. Extended through Sept. 29. Fiber-optic cable installation.

* Seattle Hill Road, between the Bothell-Everett Highway and 17th Avenue SE. Lane closed weekdays through Aug. 25. Water, storm sewer, frontage improvements.

* 126th Street SE between 13th Avenue SE and 10th Drive SE. 129th Street SE between 12th Drive SE and 14th Drive SE. Lane closures through Friday. Tree trimming and power pole relocation.

Monroe

* Old Monroe-Snohomish Road and 161st Avenue SE. Lane closed through Friday. Utilities installation and frontage improvements.

* N. High Rock Road between Highway 203 and 181st Place SE. Lane closed through Sept. 1. Road repair.

* 179th Avenue SE between U.S. 2 and 136th Place SE. Lane closure through July 28. Culvert replacement.

* Highbridge Road and Mount Forest Boulevard intersection. Lane will be closed Aug. 21 through Sept. 20. Electrical utility work.

Mukilteo

* Fender Road, between Lincoln Way and Lake Road in the Lake Serene area. Lane closed through Friday. Water meter installation.

Snohomish

* 66th Avenue SE and Skipley Road between 60th Street SE and 70th Drive SE. Lane closure through Aug. 31. Water line and paving.

Sultan

* Skykomish Slough Bridge No. 150. Lane closed through mid-December. Wood bridge to be replaced with single-span concrete structure.

Tulalip

* 34th Avenue NE between 116th Street NE and 128th Street. Intermittent lane closures Aug. 15 through Sept. 14. Paving for Tulalip Tribes’ Quil Ceda Boulevard extension project.

* Lane closures at the intersection of 27th Avenue NE and 88th Street NE (Quil Ceda Way) until Aug. 15 to set poles for cable systems.
