Road report

How to read your road report: Road restrictions may be near, but not necessarily in, the cities under which they are listed. Most restrictions are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Any lane on the road could be closed between the two cross streets found in most listings.

Notes and news

I-5: Ash Way park-and-ride project: Monday through Thursday nights, up to three lanes of northbound or southbound I-5 will be closed for lane striping beginning at 8 p.m., with all three lanes closed by 11 p.m., if necessary. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning. The southbound or northbound carpool lane may be closed from 8 p.m.-5 a.m.

I-5 between Highway 526 and U.S. 2: The two left lanes on northbound I-5 between Lowell overpass and the 41st Street overpass will be closed from 10 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights as crews shift traffic lanes to the east. This is part of the project that will add carpool lanes on I-5 in Everett.

New or updated road work

Arlington

* I-5 at the Smokey Point overpass interchange. Southbound I-5 will close overnight Tuesday as crews set the final girders in the bridge replacement project. Traffic will be detoured around the overpass.

Alderwood

* 28th Avenue W., between 196th Street SW and 201st Street SW. Lane closed through Sept. 28. Cutting and capping a gas main.

Bothell

* Highway 524 between I-5 and Richmond Road. Lane closed 9 p.m.-5 a.m. until Friday. There will be one lane of alternating traffic through the construction zone. Paving.

Bothell, Mill Creek

* 35th Avenue SE, at 162nd Place SE. Lane closed until Sept. 16. Digging holes for utility locations.

Everett, Lake Stevens

* 103rd Avenue SE, between 32nd Street SE and 20th Street SE. Lane closed until Sept. 24. Installing frontage improvements.

Everett, Mukilteo

* Highway 525 between Highway 99 and Highway 526. One lane may be closed in either direction between the hours of 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for plant establishment. Part of roadside restoration.

Lake Stevens

* Soper Hill Road, east and west of Highway 9 intersection. Lanes closed through Dec. 30. Frontage improvements. n 103rd Street SE, between 32nd Street SE and S. Lake Stevens Road. Lane closed Thursday through Oct. 31. Installing water, sewer and storm water systems. n 54th Place NE between 99th Avenue NE and 105th Avenue NE. Road closed 24 hours a day, Tuesday until Oct. 7. Drainage improvements.

Maltby

* Highway 522 and Fales Road, Echo Lake Road interchange. Intermittent brief lane closures on Fales Road from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday to allow construction traffic to cross Fales Road safely. Part of project that will replace current traffic signal.

Marysville

* 140th Street NE, between 23rd Avenue NE and 26th Avenue NE. Lane closed Sept. 12-16. Replacing a culvert.

Mill Creek

* 180th Street SE, from Brook Boulevard to approximately 500 feet west. Road closed from 8 p.m.-4 a.m. Tuesday-Sept. 12. Installing a sewer line.

Monroe

* Old Owen Road between Calhoun Road and 215th Avenue SE. Lane closed until Friday. Repairing catch basins along the side of the road.

Mukilteo, Lynnwood

* 44th Avenue W., between 148th Street SW and 149th Place SW. Road closed, 24 hours daily, Sept. 6-9. Replacing a cross-culvert.

* 59th Avenue NE, between Highway 530 and Dike Road. Lane closed until Wednesday. Installing water line.

Bothell

* 45th Avenue SE between 212th Street SE and 228th Street SE. Intermittent full road closures until Saturday. Snelson Cos. will be driving trucks in and out of the Olympic Pipeline pumping station. n 164th Street SW, west of intersection with Meridian Avenue S. Lane closed until Wednesday. Installing gas main. n 240th Street SE and Woodinville Snohomish Road intersection. Lane closed until Wednesday. Installing frontage improvements and utilities for Costco store. n 39th Avenue SE and 212th Street SE intersection. Lane closed until Nov. 30. Frontage improvements and utilities for the Oakmont plat. n 39th Avenue SE, from 212th Street SE to just south of 215th Street SE. Lane closed until Wednesday. Bothell, Woodinville

* Snohomish-Woodinville Road, from Highway 522 offramps to King County line. Alternating single lane closures into November. Drivers can expect delays. No evening or weekend construction planned. This two-lane corridor is being widened to three lanes, with a planter strip and sidewalk on the west side of the roadway. Snohomish County Public Works project.

Brier, Bothell

* 242nd Street SW, east of 23rd Avenue W. Lane closed Oct. 1-Dec. 31. Installing sewer system.

Cathcart

* Puget Park Drive extension, from dead end at 67th Avenue SE east to Cathcart Way. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2006. This new half-mile of road will provide access to Willis D. Tucker Community Park.

Edmonds

* 220th Street SW between 84th Avenue W. and Ninth Avenue S. Intermittent closures through spring. Road widening and walkway installation.

Everett

* 52nd Street SE, just east of 43rd Avenue SE. Lane closed until Thursday. Power washing and painting the city of Everett’s water transmission pipeline. n Beverly Park Boulevard and 112th Street SW between Highway 525 and Airport Road. This two-lane corridor is being widened to five lanes: two lanes in each direction with a center turn lane. Temporary lane closures and other minor delays, but most work is on the sides of the roadway. Snohomish County Public Works project. n Gibson Road, just west of E. Gibson Road. Lane closed 8 a.m.-4 p.m. until Sept. 5. Reinforcing gas main. n Ash Way, between Gibson Road and 134th Street SW. Lane closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. until Sept. 5. * S. Lake Stevens Road, between Stitch Road and South Davies Road. Road closed until Sept. 5.
