Road report

How to read your road report: Road restrictions may be near, but not in the cities under which they are listed. Most restrictions are between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays. Any lane on the road could be closed between the two cross streets found in most listings.

Notes and news

It’s time for work to start up again on the Sound Transit direct access overpass at I-5 and 164th Street SW. When it opens in October, the overpass will allow carpool and bus traffic to exit and enter I-5 from the Ash Way park-and-ride lot directly to the carpool lane. Along the way there will be numerous lane restrictions and a few full closures. The carpool lane on southbound I-5 will be closed 10 p.m.-5 a.m. tonight and Tuesday night. Lanes will be restriped and a barrier will be reset.
