Road Work Ahead

This week’s area road construction

  • I-405, Bothell to Swamp Creek HOV Lanes: widening for HOV lanes, other work. Expect slowdowns, lane and ramp closures.

  • 228th Street SWc from 4th to 14th Avenues W.: road widening.

  • 180th Street SE at 35th Avenue SE: fiber optics installation. Expect lane closures through end of year.

  • I-5 and 164th Street SW interchange: widening. Expect I-5 lane closures, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • 156th Street SW, between Highway 99 and 35th Avenue W.: cable work. Expect lane closures.

  • 35th Avenue SE between 100th and 120th Streets SE: widening. Expect lane closures.

  • 136th SE and 23rd, 25th and 35th Avenues SE: Expect lane daily lane closures through end of year.

  • ?Larch Way and 7th Avenue W. between 175th and 178th Streets SW: sewer, water and storm sewer installation. Expect lane closures.

  • 116th Street SE, between 26th and 27th Drives SE: Expect lane closure through Wednesday.

  • Old Owen Road from Monroe to Sultan: cable work. Expect daily lane closures through Oct. 13.

  • U.S. 2, Sultan/Startup: New turn lane. Expect weekday lane closures.

  • 164th Street SE and Broadway Avenue: Expect lane closures daily through October.

  • Elliott Road, from Connelly Road to 99th Avenue: installation of a wall. Expect road closure until Oct. 13. 109th Avenue SE access is via 99th Avenue SE. 12-foot height restriction on detour.

  • U.S. 2, Snohomish River to Cavalero Corner: bridge and trestle replacement. Closed to bicycles and pedestrians. The northbound I-5 to eastbound U.S. 2 exit ramp will be closed Tuesday through Thursday nights; all ramps from I-5 to eastbound U.S. 2 will be closed beginning at 10 p.m. Friday. There will be detours. Ramps will reopen Monday using the new bridge with a temporary lane.

  • Highway 529: bridge repairs. Expect intermittent lane closures.

  • Highway 528, 67th Avenue NE to 83rd Avenue NE: local traffic only.

  • Marine Drive at Meridian Avenue N.: lane closure daily through Oct. 20.

  • I-5 northbound: Right lane will be closed through Friday, second lane may be closed at night.
