CHELAN — Some roads in the Chelan Ranger District are set to close Tuesday to wheeled vehicles and open to snowmobiling and skiing.
The Wenatchee World reports the roads had not closed earlier because of a lack of snow. But the Forest Service was expecting enough snow to fall over the holiday weekend to prepare them for winter sports.
The roads connect more than 200 miles of snowmobile trails between the Entiat, Chelan, and Methow Valley ranger districts.
For more information, the Forest Service recommends people call the Chelan Ranger District at 509-682-4900.
