Victim of Monday’s house fire identified
An Everett man who died in a house fire Monday has been identified as Friedrich K. Euteneier, 48, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. Euteneier died of burns and smoke inhalation, the examiner’s office reported. The fire was caused by food left cooking on the kitchen stove, investigators said. Neighbors reported the blaze at 2119 74th St. SE shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday. Euteneier had been remodeling the three-bedroom home, which was gutted by the fire, and planned to move in with his girlfriend next month, neighbors said. No smoke detectors were in the house.
