State budget: House Bill 2127 passed 53-45 in the House on Wednesday. The bill cuts state general fund appropriations for the 2011-13 biennium by $1.15 billion; the total budget is decreased by $1.0 billion. The measure is now headed to the Senate for further consideration.

Review of public facility districts: Senate Bill 5984 passed 62-36 in the House on Wednesday. It requires an independent financial review of a public facilities district. The measure was signed into law by Gov. Chris Gregoire on Thursday.

Discover Passes: House Bill 2373 passed 55-44 in the House on Wednesday. It makes numerous changes to current law regarding the issue, purchase, possession, use, transferabilit, and distribution of the proceeds from the sale of the Discover Pass and day use passes. It was delivered to the Senate and referred to the Ways &Means committee for further consideration.

State Senate
Boundary review boards: House Bill 1627 passed 25-24 in the Senate on Wednesday. This act changes the authority of boundary review boards regarding annexations. This bill will now return to the House for further consideration of the changes added by the Senate.
