Take a roll if seven is your lucky number.
Ed Beeson, owner of Blackbird Bakery Cafe in Stanwood, has a grand opening promotion going through June. Roll a seven on dice and pick out a free pastry.
Roll another seven and get half your check paid at the cafe at 10007 270th NW Main St.
Do the near impossible, roll a third seven, and your meal is complimentary.
Beeson said seven is a lucky number because the restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.

There is no barn, but there is art.
Arlington Arts Council’s Art in the Barn is planned for 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 20412 Highway 530 NE in Oso.
In its sixth year, Art in the Barn started inside a hay barn about 12 miles from Arlington. Unfortunately, the barn fell down in the snow and wind two winters back.
But Monica Yantis, a former secretary for the council, determined that the show must go on. Last year, the festivities were held on the remaining cement floor and in the adjoining yard.
