Republican Clint Didier has nabbed the endorsement of another big name in national politics: Republican Congressman Ron Paul.
Paul, who ran for president in 2008, announced his support this afternoon. Didier will soon receive a campaign contribution from Paul’s Liberty PAC soon.
(It’s worth noting that Lew Moore of Everett, who managed Paul’s 2008 campaign, is on the staff of Republican Dino Rossi’s campaign.)
“Clint Didier will do the work to fight for lower taxes and spending and for more freedom in Washington. We need people like Clint voting with me in Congress,” Paul said in a press release announcing the endorsement..
“Clint Didier is a dynamic leader who understands our Constitution and will fight against out-of-control government to restore our Liberty. Clint has the courage to stand up against the bailouts and government takeovers being forced down our throats by Washington insiders.
“The American people need more than just another vote. We need a man of principle who will always stand up for what is right. We need a citizen politician who will represent US. Clint Didier is just that kind of individual,” Paul said.
For Didier, this is the second big national figure to sign on to his campaign. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential candidate in 2008, backed him early in the campaign and is expected to attend fund raisers for him.
