Greg Troyer, a Spruce Elementary School fifth- and sixth-grade teacher, was the Rotary Club of Alderwood-Terrace December Educator of the Month.
“He lets us do things other teachers don’t, like 10 minutes of rest after recess,” one student said in a nomination letter. “We can read or just rest. That is important for us to do because sometimes we need to calm down after recess and sometimes we are tired.”
Meanwhile, Max Baxter (November) and Giselle De La Mora (October) were the Edmonds Rotary Meadowdale High School Junior Students of the Month.
