The Alderwood-Terrace Rotary Club recently honored its Educators of the Month for December and January.
Kari Strong retired at the end of 2016 as a music teacher at Spruce Elementary School. Strong ran the school’s music program for six years, including choirs and assemblies. In all, she taught 40 years, 28 of them in the Edmonds School District. “Kari leaves a legacy at Spruce that will be well missed,” Principal Emily Moore said.
Kristina Brown is a teacher at Terrace Park Elementary School and the school’s science and technology representative at the district level. She teaches the fifth- and sixth-grade highly capable classes. “Her students respect her and work hard for her,” Principal Mary Freitas said.
