The new Snohomish County Rotaract Club recently raised money, gathered, organized and distributed 110 full back-to-school supply kits for area kids at the Everett Boys & Girls Club. The “Rotoractors” helped the kids put their supplies into new backpacks provided by Allstate Insurance, and then invited them out the the field for a “Back to School Field Day” that Rotaract organized, which included games, sports, face painting, a bubble show — and lots of ice cream.
Rotarians from the Rotary Clubs of Everett, Everett-Port Gardner, and Monroe also were there in support of the young leaders, as well as a group of high school youth from “Be the Change” in Marysville, a program of LINC NW.
Snohomish County Rotaract is a new club for leaders aged 18-30 who would like to get involved in serving their community. For more information, contact snohomishcountyrotaract@gmail.com.
