DARRINGTON — A teen was transported to a hospital with possible hypothermia Sunday after the boat she was in overturned in the Sauk River near Darrington, officials said.
Rescuers helped the girl get warm and to a road where she was taken to the hospital after being exposed to the cold water.
Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Brent Speyer said seven people ended up in the river after the boat or raft overturned.
The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
