Nineteen artists of all ages have been selected to have their works included in the Lynnwood Arts Commission’s sixth annual juried art exhibit.
The exhibit, which includes paintings, drawings, textiles and ceramics, is running now through Nov. 12 at the Lynnwood Library, 19200 44th Ave. W. Each of the art works reflect this year’s theme, “Celebrations,” to commemorate the city’s 50th birthday.
The juried winners included Martha Brouwer from Seattle, who won the Lynnwood Trolley Award; Joyeanna Chaudiere from Edmonds, who was given the Golden Egg Award; and Charlotte Watts from Sequim, winning the Lynnwood 50th Birthday Award.
This was the sixth year the Lynnwood Arts Commission hosted the themed art exhibit. For 2010, the theme will return back to the tradition of colors with “It’s Not Easy Being Green.” Artists interested in applying for the 2010 exhibit can get information at www.LynnwoodArts.org.
