Sno-Isle School Retirees Association recently awarded two $2,000 renewal scholarships to college students who graduated from local high schools.
Riley Hougan is a student at Washington State University and plans a career as a teacher. He will be part of the cheer squad this coming year.
Jessica Statler is continuing her studies at Western Washington University and in September will be a practicum student in the Marysville School District.
In addition, two high school seniors also received $2,000 scholarships.
Autumn Miller is a senior at Darrington High School and will be attending Western Washington University next fall. She plans to pursue a degree in education with endorsements in K-3 special education and general K-3 education.
Hannah Holman is a senior at Granite Falls High School and has been accepted at Washington State University. She aims to become a high school math teacher.
