Sno-Isle association awards scholarship
Annemarie Curd is the recipient of the 2013-14 Sno-Isle School Retirees Association $2,000 scholarship.
Curd earned a degree in literature at Western Washington University and will spend the coming year at Western earning her secondary teaching certificate with a minor in early language learning.
Teaching is not new to Curd’s family. Her father is a member of Sno-Isle and teaches at Silver Lake Elementary School in Everett. Her mother is a teacher and currently helps homeless students attend school. And her brother will be applying for a Sno-Isle scholarship next year.
