American Education Week
The Everett Public Schools Foundation recognized 32 employees in the Everett Public School District with library grants in their honor. These employees have been in education for 25 years. The honors come as part of American Education Week Nov. 13-17.

Athlete scholars
The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) named the district champion Everett High School girls soccer team as the 2006 3A State Academic Champion. Together, the 18 students have a combined grade-point average of 3.73.
The seasonal academic award is based upon all players on the varsity roster.
