FFA honor: Austin Bougie, a Snohomish High School graduate and member of the school’s FFA chapter, was named a winner for “Specialty Animal Production-Entrepreneurship/Placement” at the National Agricultural Proficiency Awards Pageant in held in Kentucky last month.
Scholarships: Washington State University students from Lakewood High School, Alex Agapov and Matthew Bry, received $6,000 WSU Crimson Regents Scholarships.
Dean’s List: Lorena Treen, Snohomish, is on the Dean’s List at Babson College in Massachusetts.

Communicator honor: Cascadia Community College Director of Communications and Marketing, Suzanne Ames, was honored by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District VII. She received the Communicator of the Year Award for a statewide communications plan for community colleges. She will be considered for a national award.
