Sea-Tac rental car fees going up

SEATAC — The fee for renting a car at Sea-Tac Airport is likely to more than double to $9 a day by 2030.

Port of Seattle commissioners agreed Tuesday to allow the fee to rise to help pay off bonds for a new rental car facility.

A $400 million project is planned to consolidate the operations of the largest rental car companies in a single building and provide a shuttle system.

The current rental car fee is $4 a day.
