DARRINGTON — Snohomish County Search and Rescue crews went out twice Monday to help hikers in trouble.
Two men and a 17-year-old boy were reported overdue from a hike in the Skagit County area north of Darrington, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
Crews found the three in good shape about 3:45 p.m. Monday and were working to bring them out.
In the second case, hikers in the Heather Lake area on Mt. Pilchuck east of Verlot heard people yelling for help just after noon Monday.
A Seattle man, 23, and a Kent woman, 23, were stuck in a ravine above the lake, Hover said. They were plucked out by a sheriff’s helicopter crew around 3 p.m.
They were not injured.
