EVERETT — Everett police on Friday called off the search for Harold “Hal” Ersett Higgins, 97, who was reported missing from his assisted living home in Everett on Thursday.
Higgins was believed to have wandered off from the home in the 3900 block of Colby Avenue at about 7 a.m., police said.
His wife’s cane was found Thursday at the Mukilteo ferry dock, records show.
It’s unclear if Higgins fell into the water.
A body had been reported floating in the water in the area Thursday morning.
A Coast Guard search was ended when no body was found.
